Hawaii-8: Kauai by air and the sea
Kauai, the Garden Isle was our final port-of-call on the cruise. We had planned to take a Helicopter ride over it and you can read more about it here. We then also had a chance to observe the famed Na'apali coast from sea as our cruise ship sailed that way.
Photographing from a Helicopter is an experience. You see vistas you can never dream of from the ground. However, you can only photograph from the window on your side and try to avoid glares and reflections from the glass.
The lighthouse: This is one of my favorites from the air. I think that's because of the composition of the land and ocean and the colors in the water and the surf.

The Famed Waimea Canyon: Waimea means "Red water", It is also referred to as the Grand Canyon of Hawaii.

Na'apali from air: I love this photo for its color.

Waterfall group: The rains had got all the waterfalls flowing and it was a treat

The wet valley: Kauai is one of the rainiest places on earth and sure enough it was raining. The greenery and the mist created a beautiful mood that I tried to capture in this frame.

Fantasy Island Falls: Apparently, this waterfalls is featured in a TV serial called Fantasy Island.

Na'apali from the sea: The sharp edged cliffs are amazing. And so was the light for just this instant before the rains came down again!

Double Rainbow: One of the constants at Kauai was the rainbow (and the rains).
