Hawaii-7: The Road to Hana

The road to Hana was a dream come true for me and it sure did not disappoint. You can read about our drive through this 50 mile stretch here.

Along the way: The Scenery was breathtaking all along the road.

A distant falls: We stopped at one of the vista points, and off in the distance, we spotted this falls. I brought out my 400mm lens and clicked it. It was a bit foggy, so I had to turn up the contrast while post-processing to get this image.

Black Sand Beach: after the rains

Colors at the Black Sand beach: The vivid blues and greens on the black background really stand out, especially after the rains

One of the many falls along the way.

At the O'heo Gulch - Also called the seven sacred pools - a series of waterfalls and pools drain the water from the Haleakala Volcanic region to the ocean.

All pics except the distant fall have perfect natural light, that jus makes the scenes lively n lovely.

Thanks, siva. The abundance of sunshine combined with the showers makes Hawaii an ideal location for photographers. The distant falls was on the shadows of the mounains and I was using my least contrasty lens (sigma 400mm f/5.6) - That was the reason for the lack of good light.
