Another classic view of the temple. I like the the dramatic effect of the sky and the color of the temple stones. All these pictures were taken early in the morning around sun rise.
I love the peace and serenity of the Brihadeeswara Temple in the early morning hours before the tourists arrive. The grandeur and size of the temple make me feel humble and small before God. This group of devotees, chanting bhajaans and walking around the temple praharam caught my attention.
This is one of the numerous intricate scultpures on the temple walls. What makes this image, to me is the red flower on the lap of the Godess. It creates an interesting focal point that grabs your eye and pulls you into the image. As a photographer, that is one of the important things I look for in an image.
