Snowy Egret - Galveston TX

One of my first photos with the D70. This snowy egret was photographed early one overcast morning at Galveston. Out of the many photos from this trip, this one is my favorite for the action - The spread wings of the egret and the way the light comes through it.

Taken from my car window using my Sigma 400 5.6 lens, supported on a beanbag. A car makes an excellent hide while trying to capture skittish birds.

Hi, I like this photo because of its beauty. The way only the bird is in focus while the background is blured. The level of detailed observation of the photographer like the light throug the wings is also nice, Somting i didnt notice forthe first time but appreciated on noticing.
